The nurses at the Jones Institute for Reproductive
Medicine are highly trained in the treatment of infertility. Each is dedicated
to providing the highest quality of care in a compassionate individualized
setting.
The nursing staff includes IVF
and donor egg nurse coordinators who are
responsible for the coordination of the many facets of assisted reproductive
technologies. They are the primary contacts for IVF
patients and are responsible for relaying information such as each patient's
response to drug stimulation, retrieval and transfer times, coordination
of egg donor and recipient cycles, cycle progress, etc.
The nurse coordinators also are responsible
for patient education and instruction, which includes medication injection
techniques. Our coordinators are dedicated to serving our patients;
one is always "on call" during ART stimulation cycles.
In addition, our staff includes a nurse practitioner
specialized in women's health and other registered nurses serving as
liaisons between patients and attending physicians.
Infertility is
emotionally,
financially,
and physically stressful. Our nurses realize this and do everything
possible to make the treatment experience as pleasant as possible.
