Jacob Mayer, PhD Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, EVMS Director of the Jones Institute Embryology Laboratory
He earned his PhD in reproductive physiology at Johns Hopkins University, where he also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in molecular biology. He has been a member of the Executive Council of the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technologies ( SART ) since 1995. Dr. Mayer is a highly respected researcher; his work
is recognized throughout the medical community. He has been the featured
speaker at numerous conferences on infertility and reproductive medicine.
His research discoveries received national attention in 1999 when he presented
the results of his study on the use of highly purified air in IVF incubators.
